Traditional wooden yachts:
The traditional wooden yachts are built mainly in Bodrum and other parts of Southwest Turkey. In Northern Black Sea Region the boat yards usually built fishing boats, but some beautiful traditional yachts are being constructed recently. These boats built handmade by local carpenters. They use generally pine or oak wood for the skeleton of the boats, the skeleton cover is made of pine or tetra, the deck teak, the cabins pine or mahagony, the masts white oak wood or iron. The boats are both motor and sailing yachts. Yacht charters take place on comfortable, locally built wooden yachts of several designs and sizes:
Modern yachts :
They are made of fiberglass or steel. Modern yachts are chartered either with crew or without crew.

Sail yacht:
It is prefered by licensed sailors who want to find their own route on the sea. They are usually chartered without crew while provided with all the local navigational information and equipment. For the ones who do not have licence skipper can be rented. In Turkey Beneteau, Bavaria and Dehler models of sailing yachts chartered in several designs and sizes. |

Motor yacht:
When the time and speed matters the best choice may be a motoryacht. They are usually double engined for cruising at a higher speed to extend the cruise distance. Motor yachts are equipped with modern navigation systems available to charter generally with crew. The passengers who hava a international valid licence may hire a motor yacht without crew. |
