Anchor for Dinner: Bodrum's Best Seaside Restaurants You Can Reach by Yacht
One of the great joys of a Bodrum charter with us is dinner with your feet almost in the sea. All along the coast, we can drop anchor, come ashore and dine at a waterfront table as the sun sinks over the Aegean. If you are planning to anchor for dinner in Bodrum, here are the seaside restaurants we love and recommend, and how we help you make an evening of it.
What does "anchor for dinner" mean in Bodrum?
It is exactly as it sounds: we sail or cruise to a seaside spot, moor at a marina or anchor in the bay, and come ashore, often by dinghy or our sea taxi, to eat right by the water. It turns a meal into part of the voyage, and in our experience it is one of the most memorable ways to experience Bodrum's dining scene. It is also one of our guests' most requested evenings.
Why is Gümüşlük the place for fish restaurants?
Gümüşlük is the peninsula's most romantic dining village, and one we return to every season. Its waterfront is lined with fish restaurants serving fresh seafood and meze, with tables practically on the sand and views across to Rabbit Island and the sunken ruins of ancient Myndos. Among the names we recommend most, Melengeç is beloved for its atmosphere and fresh catch, Mimoza brings a warm, family-run charm that regulars adore, and Limon Gümüşlük perched above the bay remains a sunset favourite for good reason. We simply anchor in Gümüşlük Bay and bring guests ashore by dinghy.
What about dining at Yalıkavak Marina?
For glamour, Yalıkavak Marina is hard to beat, and it is one of our home waters. Guests moor right at the marina and step off to a string of exceptional waterfront restaurants set among the superyachts. Zuma needs no introduction, bringing its celebrated Japanese-inspired menu to one of the most stylish settings on the coast. Bagatelle delivers a lively, French-Mediterranean atmosphere that suits a festive evening perfectly. Sait is a more intimate, characterful choice, while Memedof Yalıkavak offers a refined take on Turkish coastal cuisine. Opa rounds out the selection with energy, colour and a menu that keeps guests coming back. It is polished, lively and exactly right for a dressed-up dinner ashore.
Where can you find chic seaside tables?
The Türkbükü and Göltürkbükü area is where we point guests who want to combine exceptional food with a truly see-and-be-seen waterfront atmosphere. The dining here is genuinely world-class. Miam Türkbükü and Daze offer elegant menus with direct sea access and an effortlessly sophisticated feel. Hakkasan brings its internationally acclaimed modern Cantonese menu to one of Bodrum's most beautiful settings. Gigi and Scorpios carry the same energy as their beach club identities into the evening, with tables by the water and a mood that peaks at sunset. Maisonrevka and Papermoon complete what is arguably the finest stretch of waterfront dining on the entire Aegean coast. For guests arriving by boat, it does not get much better than this.
Are there restaurants in the secluded bays?
Yes, and they are a genuine delight, very different in character but no less rewarding. In quieter coves around Mazı, simple family-run restaurants serve grilled fish and fresh meze right on the shore, the kind of meal that stays with you long after the holiday ends. On a Gökova blue cruise with us, villages like Karacasöğüt and Çökertme offer rustic waterfront tables where our gulets tie up for the night: dinner with nothing but the sea, pines and stars for company.
When is the best time to dine by yacht?
We always aim for sunset, when the light over the water is at its most magical and the atmosphere peaks along the coast. Our season runs from May to October; July and August are the busiest months, and popular seaside restaurants, especially in Gümüşlük and at the marinas, fill up quickly. Late spring and early autumn are quieter and every bit as beautiful, and those are often the evenings our guests remember most fondly.
How do we help you plan a dinner by boat?
We take care of the logistics so you can focus on the evening. At marinas we moor directly; in bays we bring guests ashore by dinghy or sea taxi and arrange collection afterwards. We strongly recommend reserving a table in advance during summer, particularly at the waterfront spots in Gümüşlük and Türkbükü, and always ask specifically for a seaside table. We advise bringing a light layer for the evening breeze and some cash for smaller venues, and we are happy to liaise with restaurants directly on your behalf when needed.
